German Chess League 2015/16 (Switzerland)
The German Chess League 2015/16 was the top division of the Swiss Group Championship (SGM) in chess. Champion was last year's climber SC Gonzen , while SG Winterthur , which took over his starting place after the merger with the defending champion ASK Winterthur , had to be content with third place. SC Bodan was relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga . For the reported team squads of the participating clubs, see the team squad of the Swiss 1st Bundesliga in chess 2015/16 .
Dates and venues
The competitions took place on November 21st, December 5th 2015, January 9th and 23rd, February 6th (one competition was moved to February 13th), March 5th and April 2nd, 2016. The last round was central in Genolier , the others took place decentrally at the participating associations.

Note : Due to a faulty line-up, Nyon was deprived of the two team points for the 4.5: 3.5 win over Bodan. However, since the player who was too deeply involved lost his game, no points were credited to Bodan, so that the competition was rated 0-0 team points.

Promotion game to the 1st Bundesliga
Echiquier Bruntrutain Porrentruy and Schachgesellschaft Zürich, the winners of the two second division seasons, qualified for the promotion game played in Zurich on April 30, 2016 . Porrentruy clearly won 6: 2 and was promoted to the 1st Bundesliga.
