The Schachdara ( Russian Шахдара even Южная Шахдара (Juschnaja Schachdara, "Southern Schachdara") Джаушангоз (Dschauschangos)) is a left tributary of the gunk in southeastern Tajikistan .
The Schachdara rises in the eastern part of the Schachdara chain not far from the Matz Pass in the extreme south of the Pamir Mountains . From there it flows in a westerly direction. It separates the Chess Dara chain in the south from the Schugnan chain in the north. In the lower reaches, she turns to the north and east of hits khorugh the Gunt, a few kilometers before its confluence with the Amu Darya -Quellfluss Panj . It is fed by meltwater from the glaciers and snowmelt . Its length is 142 km. The catchment area covers 4180 km². The mean discharge (MQ) is 35.2 m³ / s. The water of the chachdara is used for irrigation .
