Schalderer valley

The Schalderer Valley , also simply Schalders , is an orographically right side valley of the Eisack Valley in South Tyrol . It branches off to the west near Vahrn, the capital of the municipality of Vahrn , and leads into the Sarntal Alps . On its south-facing slopes it offers space for the Schalders faction . It is drained by the Schalderer Bach , which flows into the Eisack . The valley is made accessible for motor traffic by the valley road that starts near Vahrn. The Schalderer Tal is surrounded by numerous peaks, of which the Karspitze ( 2517  m ) on the north side, the Schrotthorn ( 2590  m ) on the west side and the Königsanger ( 2439  m ) on the south side are the most famous. To the west, above the head of the valley, the Schalderer Scharte provides a transition into the Durnholz Valley .
