The Königsangerspitze ( Italian Monte Pascolo , 2439  m slm ), also simply called the Königsanger , is a little prominent elevation in the eastern ridge of the Sarntal Alps . The summit, together with a few smaller elevations, forms a small mountain to the west above the Brixner basin. On the north side the Königsangerspitze breaks off steeply to the Schalderer valley , on the south side wide alpine slopes stretch out. To the east lies the Radlsee , on the banks of which the Radlseehütte ( 2284  m slm ) is located.

The summit is frequently visited and is known for its views, especially of the nearby Dolomites . Even in the early days, people visited the summit area, as evidenced by prehistoric pottery shards found in 1951.

Routes

The most frequently climbed climbs lead via the Radlseehütte. From there, you only have to climb 200 meters in altitude on an easy climb. The Radlseehütte is typically approached from the south, from the Garner Wetterkreuz ( 1411  m ), or from the east, from the Perlungerhof above Gereuth ( 1380  m ). Both climbs take about 3 hours to reach the summit and are marked throughout .
