The Schallberg is a 641 m above sea level. NHN high mountain, 1.8 km south of the city of Weißenstadt in the district of Wunsiedel in the Fichtel Mountains . The wooded hill is made of tin granite. Since the Middle Ages, extensive mining for tin ore has taken place in the closer and wider area of the Schallberg .
