The Scharre is a locality in the municipality of Bogatynia in Poland . It belongs to Turoszów , whose name was transferred to the place after the complete demolition of the actual place Turoszów (Türchau) in the 1950s and 1960s, and has no Polish name of its own.

location

The place is located south of Rohnau on the right bank of the Miedzianka between Trzciniec Dolny and Zatonie below the Turów power station . The Saxon town of Hirschfelde is one kilometer to the west.

history

The origin of the village was formed by a sheep farm in the Vorwerk of Rohnau Castle , which was bought by the city of Zittau in 1494 . There is evidence of a farm in the Scher since 1559 , which was divided in 1576. The western estate came to Hirschfelde, which from then on was referred to as Hirschfelde with the Scharre and the Seitendorfer Scharre was incorporated into Seitendorf (Zittauer part).

The deer fields grew, and several gardeners ' and cottage plots were separated from the estate . Since 1749 Friedrich Apelt had the liquor license. When the wealthy Michael Hartig bought the tavern in 1753, this led to differences with the Hirschfeld local judge. To end the protracted conflicts, the dredge was awarded by the town of Zittau, the Lehngerichtsbarkeit awarded. The place of jurisdiction was the tavern, which later became known as the Weißes Lamm inn .

With the replacement of patrimonial jurisdiction in 1856, the Scharre became an independent municipality and retained this status until it was incorporated into Hirschfelde in 1914. In 1870, 60 inhabitants lived in the Scharre, in 1890 the number had doubled to 127 and was at the last survey in 1910 decreased to 109 before the loss of independence.

The industrial and mining development of the area at the beginning of the 20th century led to an increase in population. In the neighboring villages of Hirschfelde and Seitendorf as well as the Hirschfeld village of Lehde, workers' settlements were built in the 1920s. As a result, the local village schools turned out to be too small. That is why the Hirschfelde community decided to set up a central school in which the children from Rohnau, Türchau, Gießmannsdorf and the Seitendorf miners' colony should also be enrolled. The construction of the modern building began in 1925 and was inaugurated on April 24, 1927. A large rectangular schoolyard was followed by a two-sided development with a schoolhouse with an arcade with numerous specialist cabinets and function rooms and a gymnasium adjoining them at right angles. At the time the school opened, 604 school-age children and 200 further trainees attended the school.

The idea of establishing such central schools existed in other municipalities of the administrative administration , such as B. in Ostritz . Such plans were implemented u. a. 1929 with the construction of the central school in Olbersdorf .

After the Second World War the Scharre came to Poland and was combined with Lehde and the then still existing upper village of Türchau to form the municipality of Turoszów. After the eponymous district had been demolished, Trzciniec Dolny and the earlier Scharre, which did not have its own Polish name, formed the municipality of Turoszów, which was incorporated into Bogatynia in 1973.

The Turów power plant was built in 1962 just north of the town and went into operation in 1962.
