Trzciniec Dolny is located at the confluence of the Miedzianka in the Lusatian Neisse opposite the center of Hirschfelde . It forms the western continuation of Turoszów , with which the place has grown together and is therefore mostly attributed. The town is bounded to the west by the Neisse, which forms the border with Germany. In the north, the 265 meter high vineyard rises above the valley with the village of Trzciniec behind it .

history

Houses of the Lehdesiedlung

Lehde originated in the 16th century as a Leinewebersiedlung below the vineyard, then known as Lehdeberg . The place on the right bank of the Neisse was not an independent village, but has belonged to Hirschfelde since its foundation . Until the 20th century, Lehde was a tranquil place that consisted almost exclusively of half-timbered houses . There was a popular place for excursions and dancing on the vineyard. In 1897 a power station was built in Lehde. Lehde was connected to Hirschfelde by a bridge over the Neisse.

After the construction of the large Hirschfelde power plant by ASW , there was a great need for housing in Hirschfelde for both the power plant operators and the miners of the Hercules lignite plant , which was also owned by the company and was the origin of the Turów opencast mine . One of the miners' settlements built after 1920 was built south of Lehde on the northern bank of the Küpper . After the Second World War , Lehde became Polish and part of the Turoszów municipality. Since 1973 the place belongs to Bogatynia.
