Schaul Baumann

Schaul Baumann (* 1922 in Vienna , Hebrew שאול באומן; also: Shaul Baumann, Otto Schaul Baumann) is an Israeli historian.

Live and act

Baumann emigrated from Vienna to Palestine in 1939 . His mother Lotte Baumann stayed in Vienna, from where she was deported to the Minsk ghetto in 1941 and later murdered as part of the Holocaust .
In Israel , Baumann worked for the Israeli trade union federation
Histadrut . In 1998 he received his doctorate from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem , where he then worked as a freelance researcher.
