Scheda is a district of the city of Drolshagen in North Rhine-Westphalia .

geography

The place is on the federal highway 45 about 4 kilometers northwest of Drolshagen. The district road 36 leads through the village. Adjacent places are Bleche , Beul, Schlenke and Schützenbruch.

religion

The Maria Königin chapel is located in Scheda and belongs to the parish of St. Josef zu Bleche. The foundation stone of the chapel was laid in 1967. In 1990 the tabernacle was acquired by the Lennestadt -Maumke community . On the occasion of the 25th anniversary, two statues (Saint Elisabeth and Saint Christopher) were commissioned from a figure carver in Sankt Ulrich in South Tyrol .

Scheda is one of several places where the procession Sendschotter Ümmegang stops, which takes place once a year.
