Scheele Prize

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Scheele Prize ( Swedish Scheelepriset ) has been awarded since 1961 by the Swedish Pharmaceutical Society for achievements in pharmacy . It is endowed with 200,000 Swedish crowns and named after Carl Wilhelm Scheele . It was initially awarded annually, later every two years.

It should not be confused with the Scheele Medal awarded by the Chemical Society in Stockholm from 1930 (prize winner was Ida Noddack in 1934) and also not with the Carl Wilhelm Scheele Prize of the German Pharmaceutical Society , which is awarded up to twice a year is awarded for outstanding dissertations .
