history
Schelborn belonged to the rulership of Olbrück until the end of the 18th century .
In 1794 the left bank of the Rhine was occupied by French revolutionary troops. Under the leadership of the French occupiers, the municipality of Oberdürenbach belonged to the Mairie Königsfeld in the canton of Wehr , which was assigned to the arrondissement of Bonn and the Rhine-Moselle department . According to the treaties that were signed at the Congress of Vienna , Schelborn became part of the Kingdom of Prussia in 1815 . Under the Prussian administration, Schelborn belonged to the mayor's office of Königsfeld from 1816 .
