Scheralij Dostiev (also Sherali Dostiev ; born January 12, 1985 in Dushanbe , Tajik SSR , Soviet Union ) is a Tajik boxer . He fights at light flyweight (up to 48 kg).

Scheralij Dostiyev's first major international competition was the 2004 Olympic Games in which he lost in the first round against the Filipino Harry Tañamor . At the 2005 World Boxing Championships , he beat the Indian Suranjoy Singh in the quarter-finals and lost in the semifinals to the Chinese and later world champion Zhou Shiming . So he won the bronze medal in this competition. At the boxing world championships in 2007 he could not repeat this success. He lost again in the round of 16 against the Filipino Harry Tañamor.

At the 1st Asian qualifying tournament for the 2008 Olympic Games , he lost in the semifinals against the Kazakhs Birschan Schaqypow . He used his 3rd chance at the 2nd Asian qualifying tournament for the Olympic Games by moving into the final and there prevailing against the Mongolian Pürewdordschiin Serdamba . This qualified him for the 2008 Olympic Games, where he was eliminated after a defeat in the first round against the Cuban Yampier Hernández .
