Schillhof

The wasteland Schillhof is a district of the city Abensberg in Kelheim ( Lower Bavaria ).

The place is in a westerly direction, adjacent to the wasteland of Gilla at the gates of the city of Abensberg, on a slight elevation in the plains of the Abenstal . Regensburg is about 45 kilometers to the east and Ingolstadt 30 kilometers to the west. Munich is about 90 kilometers south of the town.

history

The wasteland was mentioned in a document as early as 1327 in connection with donations from "Ulrich III., Herr von Abensberg". In 1353 Ulrich gave his second wife Gertrud, among other things, the Schwaige (= cattle husbandry) "Schühelhof". During the Landshut War of Succession , the farm was burned down in 1501 and stood empty for a long time. In 1580 it was bought by the Raisacher family, who owned it until 1713.

Agriculture is practiced in the wilderness.
