Unterhörlbach is a district of the town of Abensberg in the Lower Bavarian district of Kelheim .

location

The hamlet of Unterhörlbach is located in the Hallertau about three kilometers southeast of Abensberg and about one kilometer east of Biburg on the district road KEH 22.

history

Unterhörlbach, together with Ober- and Mitterhörlbach, formed the place Hörlbach, where the Biburg Abbey acquired a farm in 1294. The list of goods from 1300 already shows the three-part division into Ober-, Mitter- and Unterhörlbach, but in the year of conscription in 1752 the village of Hörlbach with 21 properties was treated as a whole.

From the formation of the municipality in 1818, Unterhörlbach was part of the municipality of Hörlbach in the Abensberg district court and was incorporated into the town of Abensberg in 1975 as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .

Architectural monuments

Filial church St. Georg: The walls of the Gothic building are early Gothic in the nave on two thirds of the height. The altar and pulpit date from the 17th century, a panel of the Three Kings on the gallery from around 1480.
