Biburg is a municipality in the Lower Bavarian district of Kelheim and a member of the Siegenburg administrative community .

The community is located in the Regensburg planning region .
The following districts exist : Altdürnbuch , Biburg. Other districts are Dürnhart, Perka , Rappersdorf and Etzenbach.
history
Until the church is planted
Biburg was first mentioned in 1048 as Piburch . The Biburg Monastery was founded in 1132 by Konrad and Arbo von Sittling-Biburg. In 1555 the monastery was closed and the complex came under sovereign administration. In 1589 Jesuits from Ingolstadt received the building. In 1781 the Order of Malta took over the monastery complex and the closed Hofmark , which it held until its dissolution in 1808. In 1808, the monastery became the property of the Bavarian state through secularization . In the course of the administrative reforms in Bavaria, today's municipality was created with the municipal edict of 1818 .
Incorporations
The municipality Altdürnbuch came with its districts and Etzenbach Rappersdorf with the municipal reform on 1 January 1978 the municipality Biburg.
