Until the church is planted

Attenhofen first appeared in a document around 1100 in the Münchsmünster donation book . The place belonged to the Rentamt München and the Landgericht Mainburg of the Electorate of Bavaria . In the course of the administrative reforms in the Kingdom of Bavaria , the municipality of Attenhofen was created with the municipal edict of 1818 .

Incorporations

Today's municipality was created in the course of the municipal reform from the merger with the formerly independent municipalities of Oberwangenbach and Pötzmes on January 1, 1972. Walkertshofen was added on January 1, 1978.

In the period from 1988 to 2018, the population increased from 1,072 to 1,376 by 304 inhabitants or 28.4%.

The simultaneously approved white, red and white municipal flag is not used.
