The Schlangentalbach is an approx. 3.8 km long body of water III. Order in the Palatinate . It has its origin in the Palatinate Forest on the Deidesheim area and flows into the Speyerbach in Lindenberg .

From its origin approx. 1 km east of the summit of the Hohe Stoppelkopf in the Palatinate Forest , it first stretches about 900 meters to the east, then it changes its direction to the south. It passes the boundary between Deidesheim and Lindenberg and then flows through the village; here it is partially piped. After it has flown through almost the entire town and under the Mannheim – Saarbrücken railway and shortly afterwards the federal highway 39 , it flows from the left into the Speyerbach .
