The desert Schleifthor is a forester's house belonging to the municipality of Esselbach in the Lower Franconian district of Main-Spessart .
geography
Schleifthor is located to the left of the Heinrichsbach in the Spessart and belongs as an exclave in the Fürstlich Löwensteinschen Park to the municipality of Esselbach. The forester's house Sylvan in Weihersgrund is in the northwest and Kieseckersmühle in the southeast .
history
The Schleifthor was built between 1817 and 1819 as part of the fence construction for the Löwenstein Wildlife Park as a forest and gatehouse .
