The Schlern area ( Altopiano dello Sciliar in Italian ) is a low mountain range in the lower Eisack valley in South Tyrol .

The Schlern area is elevated above the Eisack gorge on the orographic left, eastern side of the valley. It is in front of the Sciliar and Alpe di Siusi massifs and is bordered by Val Gardena in the north and Tiers in the south . The northern half of the Sciliar area belongs to the municipality of Castelrotto , the southern half to the municipality of Völs am Schlern .

Parts of the area are protected in the Schlern-Rosengarten nature park .
