The Schleswig-Holstein Chamber of Notaries is a corporation under public law in Schleswig-Holstein for notaries in the regional court districts of Flensburg , Kiel , Itzehoe and Lübeck .

The Chamber of Notaries was founded on the basis of the BNotO on measures in the field of notary law of February 16, 1961. It currently has 800 notaries lawyers in Schleswig-Holstein (as of 2011).

The office is set up at the seat of the Schleswig-Holstein Higher Regional Court in Schleswig .

The members are also licensed lawyers. Schleswig-Holstein thus belongs to the area of ​​the notarial profession . The appointment as a notary is incumbent on the President of the Schleswig-Holstein Higher Regional Court in Schleswig. In addition to the respective presidents of the four regional courts, the board of directors of the chamber of notaries is heard as part of the notary appointment process. If a notary is newly appointed in the chamber district, membership in the chamber is automatic. The supervisory authority for the chamber is the State Justice Administration ( Ministry of Justice Schleswig-Holstein ).

Bureau

The President forms the Presidium with the Vice-President, Treasurer and Secretary. The board elects the presidium. The Presidium currently includes:

In the Chamber Assembly, the members of the Board of Directors are elected for four years and, like the Presidium, work on a voluntary basis in addition to their legal and notary work. The office handles current chamber affairs under the direction of three managing directors on behalf of the board. The management and the non-legal employees of the office work full-time.
