Eberhardsreuth Castle
The Eberhardsreuth Castle is a castle in the village center of Eberhardsreuth , a district of the market Schoenberg in the Lower Bavarian district Freyung-Grafenau .
The Maria Himmelfahrt castle chapel dates from the 18th century. It was expanded in 1820 and consecrated on July 27, 1841 by Passau Bishop Heinrich von Hofstätter .
Building description
Two-storey four-wing building around a small inner courtyard, with hipped roofs and two corner towers with onion domes , rebuilt in 1639 on the plan of a medieval moated castle , inscribed in marble slab over the arched entrance gate, north wing still 15th century in the core, palace chapel of the Assumption in the southwest corner tower, probably 1729, 1820 expanded and increased; with equipment; Ring wall made of quarry stone masonry ; southeast in the former garden is a two-storey house with a flat hipped roof
