The Neunkirch castle stands in Neunkirch in the Swiss canton of Schaffhausen . The building is also known as the "Oberhof".
It was first the seat of the bailiffs of the Bishop of Constance and then the city of Schaffhausen . The castle's gate tower and enclosure wall date from the Middle Ages, while the other buildings date from the 16th century. A wooden ceiling in the north wing with flat carvings from 1555 is in the Landesmuseum Zürich .
Today the Neunkirch local museum is located in the building.
