The Schlossbrauerei Reckendorf is a beer brewery in Reckendorf in Upper Franconia , a municipality in the Bamberg district . The brewery has an annual production of 28,000 hectoliters.

history

The chronicle of the brewery goes back to 1597, the year of the "bar and brewing justice". The castle fell into disrepair, but the brewery and restaurant were preserved. In 1930 Georg Dirauf leased both the brewery and the restaurant and bought both in 1952. After Dirauf's death, his daughter Lonia Eichhorn ran the company. Her successor was her son Dominik Eichhorn.

In 2018 a new brewhouse for 70 hl per day was put into operation.

Brewing process

The brewery uses brewing water from its own well, hops from the town of Spalt and the Hallertau . The brewer's yeast typical of the brewery is grown there itself. Apart from wheat beer and cellar beer , all types of beer are filtered.

Products

The product range includes the beer types Keller-Bier , Helle Freude , Schlössla , Weissbier , lager , dark beer , Edel-Pils , Weizenbock , Henrici Bock , Weizenbock and Radler . It is filled into crown cap bottles and beer barrels .
