Schlund + Partner was a German Internet provider based in Karlsruhe .

history

The company was founded in August 1995 by Rainer Schlund, Bernd Rausch and Gauger, Hamm + Partner GmbH. The managing directors were Schlund and Andreas Gauger. In 1996 it was transferred to Schlund + Partner GmbH & Co. KG, with Schlund + Partner Verwaltungs GmbH as general partner. In the course of this, further limited partners were added.

In August 1998 the company was transformed. The founders of the stock corporation were Rainer Schlund, Andreas Gauger and Jörg Hennig as well as the owners of RWS2 GbR , Alexander Rösner, Achim Weiss and Eric Schätzlein. At the same time, 1 & 1 Internet AG (then 1 & 1 Telekommunikation GmbH) signed a stake of 66 percent, which was then increased to 100 percent by the year 2000. This means that 1 & 1 and United Internet have completely taken over Schlund + Partner.

Initially, Rainer Schlund, Andreas Gauger, Alexander Rösner and Achim Weiss were board members of Schlund + Partner AG. The supervisory board was made up of Kurt Dobitsch (chairman), Manfred Bähr and Ralph Dommermuth . After Rainer Schlund and Alexander Rösner left the company in 2001, Kirsten Haynberg, Jörg Hennig, Eric Schätzlein and Achim Weiss were appointed to the board. The supervisory board consisted of Norbert Mauer (chairman), Thomas Zimmer and Markus Huhn.

Schlund + Partner AG was completely integrated into 1 & 1 Internet AG with effect from January 1, 2007 .

Locations

The first company headquarters was at Erbprinzenstrasse 1, where the ECE shopping center Ettlinger Tor is located today . The first data center was around the corner under the gymnasium of a school and has also given way to the construction of the ECE shopping center. Due to the growth-related lack of space, additional office space was temporarily rented at Hebelstrasse 15, after which Erbprinzenstrasse 4–12 (IHK - House of Business) was moved into until a sufficiently large office area at Brauerstrasse 48 was found.

Holdings

In November 1998 Schlund + Partner founded 1 & 1 puretec GmbH as the sole shareholder , of which Alexander Rösner was the managing director. The WebAuto division was spun off into WebAuto GmbH , a full subsidiary of United Internet , in November 1999 and incorporated into car4you Holding AG in May 2000 . Schlund + Partner was a founding member of DENIC and Afilias , the registry for .de and .info domains.
