Dirty Angel (Sale comme un ange) is a French feature film made in 1991 by director Catherine Breillat . The drama revolves around the relationship between an elderly police inspector, played by Claude Brasseur , and a young woman (the singer Lio ).

Police inspector Deblache, over fifty, likes to lift someone up and is friends with the crook Manoni. When Manoni is threatened with death by exponents of the criminal milieu, Deblache hires his colleague Théron to monitor the house of Manoni and his family around the clock. He begins a relationship with Theron's wife Barbara.
criticism
The Revue du cinéma thought it was okay for Breillat to turn its gaze back to sexuality: real cinema is a little bit the quintessence of voyeurism. Hence our restlessness in front of the canvas, which one should face rather than pinch in front of it. " Dirty Angel is one of those films that are able to force us to do it." The director confirms her status as a filmmaker of high standing. She knows how to work out dialogues and occasionally use an even more effective silence. While the plot doesn't matter much to her, the looks surpass everything else in importance.
