Snow White is a music duo from Hanover , which consists of the singer and songwriter Marianne Iser and the musician Thomas Duda. Founded in 1995 in Hildesheim , they first appeared as Marianne Iser & Thomas Duda , and only later did they call themselves Snow White. The name goes back to a comparison of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung of March 3, 2000, in whose features Marianne Iser was described as an evil, high-pitched "Snow White". Similar to the early works of the pop duo Rosenstolz , the songs sung in German are stylistically somewhere between pop , chanson and rock . According to their own statements, their concerts are very polarizing.

Ballet Magdeburg
In 2007 Snow White performed with the Magdeburg Ballet with the choreography for the album of the same name "No Pain" in the Magdeburg Theater . The piece premiered on January 27, 2007 at the Magdeburg Opera House. The last performance took place as part of the Magdeburg Dance Festival in 2008. The video entitled "Empty white walls" was produced as part of this ballet.

RED - The color of love

social commitment
Since 2008, Snow White has been involved in an annual concert in the Marienkirche Dessau for the preservation and reconstruction of the Wallwitzburg in the Georgengarten landscape park in Dessau-Roßlau . The proceeds of the concerts were donated to the Wallwitzburg Dessau eV association , which is trying to reconstruct the Wallwitzburg.
BKA Theater Berlin
On December 24, 2004, Snow White was supposed to appear as a guest in the Christmas show of the political and cabaret girl Ovo Maltine . As the host's cancer progressed, the show could not take place, so Snow White took over the entire evening program under the name "Black Christmas". Marianne Iser sang the Ave Maria for the sick host at the end of the show . Ovo Maltine died a short time later in hospital.
Product presentation
With the support of the Hanover wheel factory , Snow White produced a music video in 2008 that introduces the Milan velomobile and at the same time contains allusions to fairy tales typical of the band. Marianne Iser as Snow White dances around the Velomobile Milan until the black man comes, steals her Milan and drives away. In 2013 another video was created in which velomobiles play a leading role. In addition to two kites, a duo quest also appears here.
