The Schorbach is a right tributary of the Grenff in the Schwalm-Eder district in Hesse .

The Schorbach rises north of Olberode im Knüll , is dammed into a pond in the village immediately north of the federal highway 454 , then flows in a generally southwestern direction to Schorbach , turns south before reaching the village, flows through the village, taking the one coming from the west small Wälzebach , and finally flows , after a total of 5.2 km of flow, at the Steinmühle (near river km 17.05) on the right, from the north, into the Grenff.
Name meaning
The name is a combination of the unambiguous -bach and Schor . Schor is an old name of the European pond turtle ( Emys orbicularis , formerly Emys lutaria). It can be assumed that it was located in this brook.
