Schotterey is a district of the city of Bad Lauchstädt in Saxony-Anhalt .

Schotterey is a good 1.8 km northwest of the city center of Bad Lauchstädt in an intensely agricultural corridor. The Laucha flows at the southern boundary of the town .
history
In a register of the tithe of the Hersfeld monastery , which was created between 881 and 899, Schotterey is mentioned for the first time in a document as the place of Scutu regia in Friesenfeld, which is subject to a tithing obligation . On October 7, 1753 at around 1 p.m., a fire broke out in the Schimpf forge in Schotterey, which spread rapidly and cremated 38 courtyards in the village. Only five houses and a barn survived the conflagration.
Until 1815, Schotterey belonged to the Lauchstädt district of Merseburg , which had been under Electoral Saxon sovereignty since 1561 and belonged to the secondary school principality of Saxony-Merseburg between 1656/57 and 1738 . The decisions of the Congress of Vienna the place to Prussia came and was Merseburg in the administrative district of Merseburg of the Province of Saxony allocated.
On July 1, 1950, the place was incorporated into Bad Lauchstädt.
