The company Radebeuler Schuhfabrik (Raschufa) was a manufacturer of fabric shoes in Radebeul, Saxony, at Gartenstrasse 70-72. The company was founded in 1916 by Fritz Keyl as a shoe factory F. Keyl in Dresden-Gruna founded, moved in 1925 in the Lößnitz , was taken over in 1945 by the council, in 1948 expropriated and 1993 by liquidation resolved.

1916 Dresdner Fritz Keyl in established Dresden-Gruna the shoe factory F. Keyl . The company was a manufacturer of fabric shoes made of atlas , linen , velvet and other such fabrics as well as beach shoes .

In 1925 the company moved to the Moritz Hermann Schmidt villa in Oberlößnitz at today's Maxim-Gorki-Straße 30, the large annex at the rear of the house providing space for growth for a few years. The daily production in 1925 was 1000 pairs of shoes . During this time, in 1930/1931, the owner Keyl built a representative country house at Hoflößnitzstraße 68, the Keyl House , which is now a listed building .

In 1933 the growing company moved into a newly built factory building equipped with the most modern machines in the Radebeul industrial district, at Gartenstrasse 70-72. There the company developed into the largest of its kind in Germany. After 580 employees in 1933, 1,200 employees were producing 12,000 pairs of shoes per day in 1936.

After the Second World War "the company founder was deposed as a reactionary by the works council in October 1945 ". In 1948 Keyl was expropriated as the owner and the company was continued as VEB Radebeuler Schuhfabrik (Raschufa) in VVB Shoes Elbe .

Shoe manufacturer Keyl rebuilt his company in the west in Rinteln and ran it himself until 1963, then he sold it. The new buyer successfully introduced the Meisi shoes brand and ran Fritz Keyl GmbH & Co. KG until his death in 2007, when it was taken over by another shoe specialist.

During the GDR times, the east company was the "special company for women's street shoes made of substitute materials". The 250 employees in 1946 grew to over 800 in 1966. Annual production rose from 1.7 million pairs of shoes in 1958 to 2.16 million pairs of shoes, also in 1966. Of these, around 1.3 million pairs of shoes were sold Export.

Up until the fall of the Berlin Wall, Raschufa was one of the largest industrial companies in Radebeul.

Today the old Radebeuler shoe factory is located in the factory complex . The former industrial building also houses the studios of artists such as Matthias Kistmacher , Dieter Beirich, Karen and Peter Graf and Sophie Cau.
