House Keyl
The Keyl house is located in the Oberlößnitz district of the Saxon town of Radebeul , at Hoflößnitzstraße 68. It is named after its builder, the shoe manufacturer Fritz Keyl, who owned the F. Keyl shoe factory in Oberlößnitz and from 1933 in the Radebeul industrial district .
description
The two-story, today under monument protection standing villa in the style of Homeland Security Architecture is below the vineyards in the Hoflößnitz in the conservation area Historic vineyard landscape Radebeul .
It has a high gable roof and two three-quarter-round corner towers with copper cone helmets, the largest diameter of which is smaller than the diameter of the towers on which they sit. The south elevation with the two towers is a conscious reference to the view of Moritzburg Castle . The building stands on a basement level projecting to the south with two garage doors and an outside staircase on the right-hand side.
On the north side of the simply plastered building there is an entrance porch, the roof there has the shape of a mansard roof with a dormer window.
On the terrace there are artificial stone putti by the local sculptor Burkhart Ebe , who also cite models from Moritzburg Castle.
history
In 1930 the manufacturer Fritz Keyl had a villa-like, representative country house designed by the architect Franz Keyl, Dresden . The building master builder Alwin Noack erected the building so that it could be used in April 1931.
