The Schulzensee near Peetsch is the largest of three lakes with this name in the urban area of Mirow in the Mecklenburg Lake District , Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . The next smaller Schulzensee near the Starsow district is 4.2 kilometers away, Schulzensee near Mirow and the smallest of the three lakes 4.5 kilometers away. Although there is a Peetschsee named after the place , which is located about 900 meters southeast, the Schulzensee lies between this and Peetsch and is therefore the lake that actually belongs to the place.
The roughly oval lake has a size of 48.8 hectares and is around 1.1 kilometers long and up to 550 meters wide. Its water level is 59.3 m above sea level. NHN . A ditch brings water from the wet meadows to the northeast with rare and endangered vegetation. At the southwest end a ditch drains through the Teufelsbruch to the Zotzensee and thus to the Havel .
On its north bank is the village of Peetsch, where there are a number of boathouses and jetties as well as a swimming area. Most of the bank sections border on meadows that are separated from the water by rows of bushes and trees. Only in the east is the bank covered with forest, there is a second bathing area. The water quality is classified as very good for bathing.
The Mecklenburg Lakes Cycle Path runs on its west side and through Peetsch .
