The Schusteracht is a cycling, riding and hiking trail in the Preetz region in the Plön district ( Holstein ).

Routing

The Schusteracht is represented on a map like an eight , the intersection of which lies in the 'Schusterstadt' Preetz . One loop runs with a length of around 30 km in a north-westerly direction (Nordschleife), the other extends with a length of around 33 km in a south-easterly direction.

The course of the loops is chosen so that many cultural monuments and natural sights such as the nature reserves Kührener Teich and Pohnsdorfer Stauung can be reached.

Emergence

The Schusteracht became the lead project of a rural structure and development analysis (LSE) of the municipalities of Kühren , Lehmkuhlen , Pohnsdorf , Rastorf , Schellhorn and Wahlstorf as well as the city of Preetz . The LSE was carried out in 2002 and 2003 in order to develop the Preetz city and country region into a natural and cultural experience area. The opening of the Schusteracht took place on May 1st, 2004 .

Sponsorship

A support association was founded on March 17th, 2005 to maintain and promote the Schusteracht . The founding meeting took place at Bredeneek Castle.
