Schwarzach is a district of the market Pyrbaum in the district of Neumarkt in the Upper Palatinate in Bavaria .

The village is in the open, about 5 km south of Pyrbaum. The Schwarzach flows past to the east.

It was first mentioned in 1267 as "Schwarza", later "Schwartzach" (Black Ache). In 1317, Ludwig the Bavarian donated Schwarzach, court and bailiwick to the Teutonic Order in Nuremberg, which had previously belonged to the imperial court of Berngau .

From the beginning of the 19th century, Schwarzach formed its own municipality with its main town, Seligenporten . This merged on October 1, 1970 with some others to form the municipality of Pyrbaum.
