The Black Travel and Office GmbH operates as a private transport company in the district of Donau-Ries seven lines in public transport . The company, based in Nördlingen , is also active in occasional and tourist traffic , as a tour operator, in the operation of travel agencies and in the tourism sector in the new media. In Nördlingen the company has a transport depot and a travel agency.
history
The company was founded in 1924 by Johann Schwarzer in Brattersdorf , Mährisch Schönberg district , in Czechoslovakia , as a haulage and timber haulage company. In 1946 the family had to leave the company and was expelled. The family came to the Donau-Ries district, first to Belzheim and then to Wallerstein . There operations as a transport company were resumed. In 1960 the company acquired the regular transport service for the city of Nördlingen, and in 1969 the Freissle company’s bus and line services were acquired. In the same year, his son Ernst Schwarzer joined the company.
In 1972 a new depot was built on Oettinger Strasse in Nördlingen, and in 1983 the company's founder Johann Schwarzer died. In 1992, Schwarzer Reise- und Verkehrsbüro GmbH acquired four public scheduled services from RBA Regionalbus Augsburg GmbH. In 1999, the company began opening up the Internet travel market with the first travel portals. In 2004, Ernst Schwarzer's two sons, Werner and Jörg Schwarzer, jointly took over the company as shareholders and managing directors. Today the company employs around 35 people and transports around 1.8 million passengers annually with 25 buses.

Vehicle fleet
The fleet of Schwarzer Reise- und Verkehrsbüro GmbH includes 25 buses of various brands, of which 7 are low-floor buses , 9 intercity buses , 7 coaches and 2 minibuses .
The low-floor buses, all of the Citaro Mercedes-Benz type, are equipped with wheelchair spaces and kneeling facilities . From 2005 onwards, soot filters were ordered for new purchases and in 2006 the first public service bus in all of Swabia with EURO-5 exhaust technology was put into service. Two intercity buses are specially designed for wheelchair users, with a wheelchair lift and a corresponding parking space.

The company has been active in the new media with various travel portals since 1999. The flight portal billiger-fliegen.de was opened in 1999. In a study by the market research company tse: be, the portal was ranked 9th out of 80 travel sites tested, ahead of TUI , FTI and other major tour operators . The study was published in the specialist journal Touristik Management (tm 01/2004) , among others . The tourism rating portal Strandversicherung.de , founded in 2007, was the first beach rating portal in Germany . In a standardized questionnaire, users provide the portal with their experiences and the resulting evaluations. Every year the portal uses the ratings to create a TOP 10 list of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The company has been operating a cruise portal under the Nautianis brand since 2009.
