Schweimke is a district of the municipality Obernholz , Gifhorn district in Lower Saxony in the southern part of the Lüneburg Heath , near the border with Saxony-Anhalt.
Geographical location
Schweimke is located about 30 km south of the city of Uelzen , but administratively belongs to the district of Gifhorn . The place is located between the Südheide Nature Park and the Elbufer-Drawehn Nature Park . Schweimke is part of the Obernholz community and is located in the center of the community. The closest medium- sized centers are Gifhorn , Celle and Uelzen.
