The Schwob Peak is a 2,715 m high mountain in the West Antarctic Marie Byrd Land . In the McCuddin Mountains it rises 2.5 km south of Mount Petras .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1959 to 1965. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1974 after William S. Schwob (1927-2017) from the United States Coast Guard , captain of the icebreaker USCGC Southwind during Operation Deep Freeze 1972.
