The Scie is a coastal river in France that runs in the Seine-Maritime department in the Normandy region . It rises in the local area of Étaimpuis , generally drains north to northwest through the Pays de Caux natural landscape and flows into the English Channel after 37 kilometers at Pourville in the municipality of Hautot-sur-Mer .

economy
In the 19th century, there were up to 40 watermills for making flour or for grinding apples along the river, but all of them have disappeared. In Anneville-sur-Scie there is a cellar for making cider .
