The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement Dieppe and the canton Luneray (until 2015 canton Tôtes ). The inhabitants are called Tôtais .

Saint-Maclou-de-Folleville is located in the Pays de Caux about 38 kilometers north of Rouen on the Scie . Saint-Maclou-de-Folleville is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Vassonville and Saint-Denis-sur-Scie in the north, Montreuil-en-Caux in the east, Saint-Victor-l'Abbaye in the south and south-east, Fresnay-le-Long in the South, Varneville-Bretteville in the southwest and Tôtes in the west.

The former route nationale 29 (today's D929) runs through the municipality .
