It belongs to the Arrondissement Dieppe and the canton Luneray (until 2015 Bacqueville-en-Caux ). The inhabitants are called Gueurais .

Gueures is located about 19 kilometers southwest of Dieppe in the Pays de Caux . Gueures is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Avremesnil in the north, Ambrumesnil in the north and northeast, Thil-Manneville in the east, Brachy in the south, Luneray in the southwest, La Gaillarde in the west and Saint-Pierre-le-Vieux in the west and northwest.
