history
In 1831 a flint from the time of the Gauls was found between Brémontier-Merval and Elbeuf-en-Bray . Elbeuf-en-Bray was settled at the time of the Gallic War under the Roman general Gaius Iulius Caesar , as were the places Algés , Avesnes-en-Bray , Dampierre-en-Bray , Ferrières , Gournay-en-Bray , Neuf-Marché and Saint-Clair-sur-Epte .
