geography
Saint-Nicolas-d'Aliermont is located near the English Channel on the Alabaster Coast in the Pays de Caux between the valleys of the Béthune and Eaulne . Saint-Nicolas-d'Aliermont is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Bellengreville in the north, Envermeu in the north and northeast, Douvrend in the east and northeast, Notre-Dame-d'Aliermont in the east and southeast, and Saint-Jacques-d'Aliermont in the south South-east, Dampierre-Saint-Nicolas in the south, Saint-Aubin-le-Cauf in the west and south-west and Ancourt in the west and north-west.
history
The Archbishop of Rouen Gautier de Coutances and Richard the Lionheart as Duke of Normandy came to an agreement in 1197 over the forest of Aliermont. The archbishop's residence was built from 1197 to 1248, the church in 1249 after the parish was established in 1208 and 1222.
