geography
Lestanville is a farming village on the Saâne in the Pays de Caux region , which is part of the Paris basin . The village is located 24 kilometers southwest of Dieppe .
history
The community was first mentioned in 1161 as Lestanvillam . The name of the homestead Leod - / Leofstan comes from Anglo-Saxon . The name of the municipality can also come from the Anglo-Saxon Alestan . The municipalities of Dénestanville and Vénestanville have a similar word origin.
