Martigny is a French municipality with 439 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Seine-Maritime in the region Normandy (before 2016 Haute-Normandie ). Administratively it belongs to the Arrondissement Dieppe and is part of the canton Dieppe-1 ( Offranville until 2015 ). The inhabitants are called Martignyais .

geography

Martigny is located about eight kilometers south-southeast of Dieppe near the alabaster coast of the English Channel . The Varenne flows on the eastern edge of the municipality . Martigny is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Arques-la-Bataille in the north and north-west, Saint-Aubin-le-Cauf in the east and north-east, Le Bois-Robert in the south and Aubermesnil-Beaumais in the west and south-west.
