The Sciorahütte ( Italian Capanna di Sciora ) is a hut belonging to the Swiss Alpine Club (SAC) in the Bernina Alps in the Swiss canton of Graubünden .
The hut, maintained in summer, is located in the municipality of Bregaglia at an altitude of 2118 m above sea level. M. .
history
The old hut was built in 1905, burned down in 1947 and was rebuilt in 1948. In 1986 it was rebuilt according to plans by Jakob Eschenmoser .
As a result of the Bondo landslide in August 2017, all approaches to the hut were closed due to the risk of falling rocks. The Capanna Sciora SAC and all other hiking trails in Val Bondasca remain closed. The Sasc-Furä-Hütte can be reached from July 2019 via a new, official hiking trail (T4) from Bondo.
Transitions
The path to the Sasc-Furä hut ( 1904 m above sea level ) to the west in the rear Val Bondasca was buried in the great Cengalo landslide in 2011 and has since been closed due to the high risk of falling rocks, but you could still walk at your own risk. In the following, even bigger rockslide from Bondo in 2017, eight climbers were probably buried, two should have been on the way to the Sasc-Furä hut.
