Scott Fraser (born March 25, 1986 in Edinburgh ) is a British orienteer .

The Scot Fraser has competed in the World Cup since 2006 and in the Men's World Championships since 2007. In 2008 he surprisingly finished fourth in the sprint at the European Championships in Ventspils, Latvia . When the Swede Emil Wingstedt won , he only missed a medal by two seconds. In the years to come, he often showed his strengths, especially on the sprint track. A medal at European or World Championships has not yet jumped out. In 2010 in Trondheim , the British team with Graham Gristwood , Jon Duncan and Fraser just missed a medal in the World Championship relay race. Two years later, Fraser was fourth in the World Championship sprint in Lausanne. At the following world championships in Vuokatti , Finland , he managed to make it into the top three. In the sprint, he was only behind the Finn Mårten Boström and became vice world champion.

Fraser won British championships in sprint (2007, 2008, 2009) and middle distance (2009).

In 2010 Fraser moved to Stockholm , where he has been running for the Södertälje-Nykvarn Orientering association since 2011 . Before that he started internationally for Sävedalens AIK and the Finnish club Turun Metsänkävijät .
