Scott Silver
Scott Silver (born November 30, 1963 in Worcester , Massachusetts ) is an American screenwriter, film producer and film director.
Life
Silver first studied journalism at Boston University and became a documentary filmmaker for CBS in Boston. In the early 1990s he studied at the American Film Institute . Silver made his directorial debut in 1996 with the film drama Johns , for which he received the prize for the best directorial debut at the 1996 Festival Internacional de Cine de San Sebastián .
For The Fighter , Silver was nominated for an Oscar in 2011 for Best Original Screenplay along with Eric Johnson and Paul Tamasy . There are also other film award nominations.
