Sean McCormack is a sound engineer .

Life

McCormack began his career in the early 1990s. He made his debut in 1992 with the action film Sneakers - Die Lautlosen . In the early 2000s he also worked sporadically for television, including nine episodes of the animated series The Simpsons , but his main focus was the film. Since 2002 he has worked frequently with the Iranian sound engineer Kami Asgar . Their joint films include the horror film Hostel and its sequel Hostel 2 . In 2004 both worked on The Passion of the Christ for the first time, directed by Mel Gibson . For the second film with Gibson, Apocalypto , McCormack and Asgar were nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Sound Editing in 2007. McCormack was also nominated twice for the Golden Reel Award .
