Life

Asgar began his career in the late 1980s. He made his debut in 1989 with the action film The Avenger with Oliver Reed in the lead role. In the 1990s he mainly worked as a sound designer on television productions such as the series Dr. Quinn - Passionate Doctor , Nash Bridges and Alone Against the Future . For his work on Dr. Quinn - a passionate doctor , he was nominated for a Primetime Emmy in 1996. From the mid-2000s, his focus shifted back to film. His films include the horror film Hostel and its sequel Hostel 2 , as well as three Muppets films. In 2004 he worked for The Passion of the Christ for the first time, directed by Mel Gibson . For their second joint film, Apocalypto , Asgar was nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Sound Editing in 2007 together with Sean McCormack . Asgar was also nominated twice for the Golden Reel Award .
