The Sea Energy is also known as a lifting crane ship or construction ship as well as an offshore assembly ship for wind turbines , which is used for the construction of offshore wind farms .
history
The Sea Energy is a construction vessel for the construction of offshore wind turbines. It belongs to the company A2SEA in Fredericia , Denmark , in which Siemens has a 49% stake. The ship sails under the Danish flag with home port Esbjerg .
The Sea Energy was built as a cargo ship with hull number 172 at Oerskov's Staalskibsvaerft A / S in Frederikshavn, Denmark . The keel of the ship, which was put into service as Ocean Ady , took place on October 3, and it was launched on November 17, 1989. Completion followed on April 20, 1990.
The ship was converted into an installation ship in early 2002. In 2006 it was renamed Sea Energy .
Ship data
The almost 92 m long and 22 m wide ship has a maximum draft of 4.25 m and a carrying capacity of 2386 t. It has four support legs for use in water depths of up to 24 m. The main crane lifts 110 t with a 20 m outreach. A second, smaller auxiliary crane can lift up to 27 t.
The tanks are designed for 2100 m³ of ballast water and 405 m³ of fuel.
The ship is propelled by two six-cylinder four-stroke engines from the manufacturer MaK Motoren (6 M 332 C), each with an output of 1200 kW . They act via gears (885/225 / min) on a controllable pitch propeller each and give the ship a speed of around 14 knots . The electrical energy for the on-board network is generated by two shaft generators with 940 kVA each and an auxiliary diesel with 175 kVA.
