Seahorse ( English for seahorse ) is a 1008  m high volcano on the Scott coast of East Antarctica Victoria Land . It rises 2.8 km east of Lake Porkchop .

A team from the New Zealand Geological Survey described it as the easternmost volcano on the south side of the Roaring Valley . The New Zealand Geographic Board named it in 1994. It is named after projections made of black lava rock with white granite , which make the mountain resemble the head of a seahorse when viewed from the south .
